Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 of 1985 located in Los Angeles. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained minister at Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was an athletically inclined child and discovered her love of sprinting while at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Only 10 weeks after her first tryout she came in second place in the 200-meter race during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from her high school education and was signed to an official contract for Adidas. In 2004, she enrolled in the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic award at 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s, setting an all-time junior world record. She was the youngest to win the 200 meter in the world championships that took place in Helsinki in the year 2005. She defended her title the following year, beating her the long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently in the top three of athletes in each of her events.
