Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was born in Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. Her father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's athletic talent was evident from the moment she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Following her initial audition she was ranked within the top two places in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003, signed the sports contract with Adidas. She then was accepted into an institution called the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. Felix was presented with her first Olympic prize at the 2004's Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s, setting a new junior world record. Felix became the world's youngest athlete to win the 200 meters at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She was consistently within the top three places of every event.
