Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born on November 18th, 1985, in Los Angeles. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained minister from the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix showed a flair for athletics before she realized her speedy abilities while she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her first race, Felix was second in the 200 meter sprint on the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix completed her high school graduation having signed a professional contract with the athletics company Adidas after which she enrolled in the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. The following year, Felix achieved her debut Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece making an all-time junior world record doing 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was named the world's youngest champion in the 200-meter event. She defended the title for the second time in 2007 beating her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix has consistently placed in the top 3 in her various events at the Olympics that took place in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
